About Us

Fit 4 Fun – Who Are We?

Fit 4 Fun is a wellness and lifestyle brand created specifically for women in midlife and beyond. We believe wellness should feel approachable, energizing, and, most of all—fun. Our mission is to help women 50+ flourish physically, emotionally, and creatively with programs that meet them exactly where they are.

At Fit 4 Fun, aging is not a limitation—it’s an invitation. An invitation to move with joy, fuel your body with intention, and engage your mind and spirit with curiosity and purpose. Our offerings are rooted in science and compassion, designed to support real women through real-life transitions like menopause, empty nesting, and reinventing what’s next.

We offer a range of services—from digital wellness planners and online courses to coaching, creative workshops, and vibrant community challenges. Every product and program is built around three core pillars: movement, mindset, and lifestyle design—because lasting change happens when you bring all three into alignment.

Whether you’re just starting your wellness journey or ready to take it to the next level, Fit 4 Fun is here to support you with tools that are sustainable, enjoyable, and empowering.

Hi – I’m Cindy!

I am a lifelong wellness educator, fitness instructor, and passionate advocate for joyful, healthy living.
My journey in health and fitness began back in 1986 at the Kenneth Cooper Institute in Arlington, Texas. I was proud to be among the very first AFAA nationally certified group fitness instructors. From those early days, I knew that movement and well-being were more than just physical — they were deeply connected to joy, purpose, and community.
I hold a BA from Queens University in Charlotte, and over the years, I’ve earned multiple certifications in wellness, group fitness, and life coaching — including my credential as a Senior Fitness Specialist with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). These experiences have helped me support a wide range of individuals with evidence-based, compassionate care.
In the early years, I launched a fitness ministry at Arlington First Baptist Church and worked at the legendary Richard Simmons Anatomy Asylum. As a corporate wife raising a young family, I moved often — but no matter where life took us, I rebuilt my fitness community and taught classes with passion and purpose.
In 2001, while living in Weddington, North Carolina, I founded Fit 4 Fun, an after-school wellness program focused on helping children become more active and healthy. I was deeply concerned about rising childhood obesity in the U.S. and wanted to create something fun and empowering for the next generation.
Fast-forward to today: with grown children and precious grandkids, I’ve stepped into a new season of life — and once again, my purpose has evolved. In 2024, I launched a new branch of Fit 4 Fun, this time focused on postmenopausal women who want to reclaim their health, energy, and vitality.
I’ve walked through the same challenges many women face in midlife — hormonal changes, stress, fatigue, and a loss of connection to their bodies. I’ve also watched my mother and aunts struggle with aging and declining mobility, often due to a lack of support and education. That experience shaped my mission.

My why

I believe we should feel strong, capable, and joyful at every stage of life. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help women — and myself — stay informed, empowered, and engaged with our health in a way that supports longevity, mobility, and fun.

I don’t believe in guilt or pressure. I believe in showing up for ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and consistency.

When I am not teaching

You can find me playing tennis or pickleball, reading, enjoying a walk, researching the latest wellness information, or spending time with my husband, our adult children, and our sweet grandchildren.

Ready to connect?

If you’re navigating midlife and want to feel good in your body again — with a little more knowledge and a lot more joy — I’d love to help. Let’s move forward together,

Cindy
